My name is Luna Al Hussein Al Sattouf,
I was born in Latakia Syria.
I live there with my mother, my father, my 4 sisters and 4 brothers.

I started my research by looking at what sights there are in the city.
I started to look at city and landscape trough google earth.
Then I went deeper into my search and looked at videos and pictures online and researched the city on wikipedia and other sites.
I started thinking about how my life would've played out if I was born in syria.
I looked at the schools, middle school, university.

For my mending procedd I figured I can best connect to something if i can relate to it.
For the diary i made about the second me, I used experiences of this me, but also experiences that are stories my dad told me about living there. As well as stories I made up from looking at he the sights.

I also tried to find connections to myself and my family in the city, and i found some family members facebooks who still lived in the city, I found a mosque with our last name, and a old castle with my fathers first name.
